In July 2025, Carnee Rides completed a 24-seat self-control plane ride project for an amusement park in Algeria. The client needed a medium-capacity family attraction that could combine interactive riding, strong visual appeal and reliable operation while fitting within the available outdoor amusement area.
Rather than supplying a standard ride without considering the operating environment, the project was developed around the client’s required capacity, site space, appearance and long-term maintenance needs.
Why the Client Chose a 24-Seat Self-Control Plane Ride
For this project, passenger capacity was an important consideration.
A very small kiddie plane ride would have limited hourly throughput, while a much larger thrill ride was not suitable for the family-oriented area of the park. The selected configuration provides 24 passenger seats across two-seat aircraft cabins, creating a balance between capacity, footprint and ride experience.
During operation, the aircraft rotate around the central structure while moving vertically, giving riders a more interactive experience than a simple circular family ride.
The aircraft-style cabins and elevated motion also make the attraction visible from surrounding areas of the park, helping it work as both a ride and a visual feature.

With a 12.4-meter rotation diameter, the ride provides a noticeable operating range without requiring the footprint of a large-scale thrill attraction. Its 9.3-meter overall height also gives the equipment greater visibility within the amusement park.

Manufacturing and Drive-System Configuration
Before shipment, the ride was assembled and inspected at the factory so that the structural components, rotating system, lifting mechanism and electrical equipment could be checked before installation.
The project uses industrial drive components selected for continuous amusement-ride operation. Some of the motors used in the system are rated at:

The complete ride has a specified 27.5 kW drive power, so the individual 5.5 kW motor rating should not be confused with the total installed drive configuration.
This type of factory inspection is particularly important for overseas amusement ride projects because problems discovered before packing are considerably easier to correct than problems found after the equipment reaches the installation site.
Customized Appearance for the Amusement Park
The client also wanted the attraction to have a stronger visual identity rather than using a basic factory color scheme.
Carnee Rides therefore customized the aircraft cabins and structural decoration according to the project requirements. The finished ride uses a silver, blue and green futuristic aircraft theme, combined with decorative lighting to make the equipment more recognizable during both daytime and evening operation.
Color combinations, cabin decoration, LED lighting and themed details can all be adjusted for different amusement parks.
For operators developing a themed area, this flexibility allows the ride to match surrounding attractions instead of looking like an isolated piece of equipment.
Installation and Commissioning Support
