A family amusement park cannot succeed by placing as many rides as possible inside the available site. The attraction mix, visitor routes, safety zones, visual identity and installation sequence must work together as one complete system.
Completed in July 2024, this approximately 12,000-square-meter outdoor family amusement park was developed within a larger destination surrounded by landscaped water features, residential buildings, green hills and supporting leisure facilities.
The client required more than equipment supply. Carnee Rides provided an integrated service covering preliminary planning, CAD layout drawings, 3D visualizations, ride selection, product customization, manufacturing, delivery coordination, on-site installation and commissioning.
After opening, the park attracted a strong flow of families and children. During busy periods, queues formed at most major attractions, showing that visitor interest was distributed across the park rather than concentrated around only one ride.

Understanding the Site Before Selecting the Amusement Rides
The amusement area forms part of a broader resort-style environment rather than an isolated fairground.
The surrounding residential buildings create a nearby family customer base, while the water landscape, green hills and leisure facilities make the area suitable for weekend visits and longer recreational stays. Therefore, the new park needed to complement its surroundings instead of appearing crowded or visually disconnected.
Before confirming the equipment package, Carnee Rides considered:
- The approximate size and shape of the available site
- Existing pedestrian access and surrounding roads
- Views from nearby buildings and elevated areas
- The age range of expected visitors
- Required queue, fencing and operating space
- The relationship between mechanical rides and non-powered play
- The visual effect of the park when viewed from above
This early evaluation helped prevent a common mistake: purchasing individual rides first and trying to fit them into the site later.

What the Client Cared About Most
The client placed particular emphasis on four areas: overall planning, equipment quality, visual consistency and installation execution.
The park needed to serve young children without becoming too limited for older visitors. It also required enough higher-energy equipment to attract teenagers and parents while maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere.
Because the client had high quality expectations, the selection process was not based only on price or decorative appearance. Equipment structure, finish quality, seating, restraints, operating practicality and long-term maintenance all had to be considered.
The visual presentation was equally important. Different rides used ocean, robot, animal, fantasy and space themes, but the completed site still needed to feel like one coordinated destination.
Finally, a multi-ride project required a clear installation plan. Foundations, deliveries, lifting work, assembly, electrical connections and commissioning had to be completed in the correct sequence to avoid delays.

From Amusement Park CAD Layout Drawings to 3D Renderings
Carnee Rides first converted the client’s requirements and site information into a practical amusement park layout.
The CAD drawings were used to coordinate:
- Equipment locations and orientations
- Operating diameters and safety clearances
- Main pedestrian routes
- Ride entrances and exits
- Queue and waiting areas
- Perimeter fencing
- Operator positions
- Electrical access
- Installation and maintenance routes
This stage ensured that the design considered the complete operating area of each attraction rather than only the machine footprint.

After the main layout was confirmed, Carnee prepared 3D amusement park renderings so the client could review the proposed colors, ride themes, visual balance and relationships between different zones before production began.
The 3D presentation also made it easier to identify potential issues that may not be obvious on a flat drawing, such as blocked sightlines, excessive color concentration or one large attraction visually overpowering nearby children’s rides.
Building a Balanced Attraction Mix
The final equipment package combines mechanical amusement rides, interactive attractions and non-powered playground structures.
Instead of depending on one flagship attraction, the layout gives each ride a clear role within the visitor experience.
| Ride Category | Representative Equipment | Main Purpose |
| Family swing rides | Fairy Flying Chair Ride, Ocean-Themed Happy Swing Ride | Shared parent-child experiences and broad family appeal |
| Interactive attractions | Galaxy Guardian Self-Control Plane Ride, Crazy Rabbit Ride | Greater rider participation and repeat-play value |
| Rotating rides | Octopus Ride, Ocean-Themed Carousel | Continuous visual movement and medium-capacity entertainment |
| Higher-energy rides | Crazy Robot Ride, Electric Music Tagada Ride | Strong visual impact and more excitement for older visitors |
| Family attractions | Family Pirate Ship Ride, bumper cars | Familiar group experiences suitable for a broad audience |
| Non-powered equipment | Rabbit-Themed Playground, Outdoor Volcano Climbing and Slide | Longer children’s playtime without depending on ride cycles |

This combination allows families with children of different ages to remain together while still choosing different levels of activity.
Young children can use climbing structures, slides, carousels and gentler rides. Older children and adults can move toward interactive planes, bumper cars, swing rides and more dynamic mechanical amusement park equipment.
Zoning the Park by Visitor Experience
Attractions with different movement patterns and operating requirements should not be placed randomly beside one another.
In the final park layout, gentler children’s equipment was arranged in areas where parents could wait, observe and help with boarding. Larger or more dynamic rides received independent fenced zones and controlled access points.
This separation helped reduce conflicts between:
- Fast-moving and slow-moving attractions
- Children waiting with parents and groups of teenagers
- Loading queues and general pedestrian traffic
- Ride operating space and public circulation
- Visitor routes and maintenance access
At the same time, the equipment remained visually connected. Families could easily see nearby attractions and continue through the park without repeatedly returning to the entrance.

Custom Colors, Themes and LED Lighting
The equipment was not supplied only in standard factory colors.
Based on the client’s visual requirements, Carnee Rides customized the color combinations, decorative themes and appearance of the selected attractions. Ocean elements, robots, animals, fantasy characters and space-inspired designs were used to create different experiences for different areas.
The LED lighting layouts and color effects were also customized according to the client’s preferences. Lighting was integrated into ride façades, decorative structures and visible mechanical sections rather than added as an unrelated accessory.
This customization served several purposes:
- Making individual attractions easier to recognize
- Strengthening the family-oriented atmosphere
- Improving the park’s appearance during evening operation
- Creating visual interest from surrounding buildings and elevated viewpoints
- Connecting different ride themes through coordinated colors
The colorful ground surface further unified the site. Large areas of yellow, purple, blue, orange and red define ride zones and walking areas while giving the park a distinctive appearance when viewed from above.
Quality Requirements During Production
The client’s quality expectations influenced both the technical and visual execution of the equipment.
Carnee Rides coordinated production according to the confirmed drawings, technical requirements, color schemes, themed decorations and lighting configurations. The goal was to ensure that the finished rides matched the approved concept rather than gradually changing during manufacturing.
For a project containing many different attractions, consistency is especially important. Poor coordination can result in mismatched colors, incomplete decorative details or equipment that does not align correctly with the planned foundations and operating areas.
By connecting the planning, customization and manufacturing stages, Carnee reduced the risk of discrepancies between the approved design and the completed park.
Safety Boundaries and Queue Management

The opening photographs show substantial visitor activity around many of the rides. This makes queue and access planning particularly important.
Each main attraction uses perimeter fencing to separate visitors from moving equipment. Defined entrances and exits help operators control boarding and unloading, while pedestrian routes remain outside the operating zones.
The layout also preserves sufficient clearance around rotating, swinging and lifting attractions. This is essential for equipment such as flying chair rides, self-control planes, Tagada rides and mechanical swing attractions.
During peak periods, visitors could wait near popular rides without completely blocking the main paths. That result came from reserving practical queue space during the planning stage instead of treating it as an afterthought.
Boarding and Passenger Restraint Checks

Operational images show staff assisting passengers and checking restraints before ride dispatch.
This is particularly important for attractions such as the Crazy Robot Ride and other equipment with larger movement ranges. Operators must confirm that riders meet the relevant requirements and that restraints are correctly positioned before starting the cycle.
For family attractions, the boarding process also needs to accommodate parents helping younger children. Platforms, gates and access routes must provide enough room for safe assistance without slowing the entire loading procedure.
A strong opening response increases pressure on operators, so the loading area must remain manageable even when several groups are waiting.
On-Site Installation by Carnee Rides
Carnee Rides dispatched workers to the site to install and coordinate the amusement equipment.
The on-site work included:
- Equipment assembly
- Structural and mechanical connections
- Positioning according to the confirmed layout
- Electrical coordination
- Decorative component installation
- Lighting-system checks
- Functional testing
- Preparation for commissioning
A park containing many ride types requires more coordination than a single-equipment installation. Different foundations, delivery schedules, lifting requirements and assembly procedures must be managed without allowing one delayed attraction to disrupt the complete opening plan.
Because Carnee had already participated in the planning and production stages, the installation team understood the intended locations, themes and technical requirements of the equipment before arriving on site.
The Park After Opening
After completion, the site developed into an active family entertainment destination with a clear mix of children’s rides, shared family attractions and more dynamic equipment.
Opening-period images show large numbers of children and parents throughout the park. Bumper cars, self-control planes, flying chairs, rotating rides and higher-energy attractions all received active participation.
During busy periods, queues appeared at most major rides. Importantly, demand was not limited to one popular attraction. Visitors were distributed across several zones, indicating that the equipment mix appealed to different ages and preferences.
The park also encouraged shared family visits. Children could use the themed rides and climbing equipment, parents could accompany younger riders, and adults could participate in interactive or family-oriented attractions.

Why the Layout Worked
The opening response was not produced by equipment quantity alone.
The final result worked because the attraction mix supported different visitor needs:
- Gentle rides served younger children
- Interactive equipment encouraged repeat participation
- Parent-child attractions supported shared experiences
- Higher-energy rides appealed to teenagers and adults
- Non-powered play extended children’s activity time
- Clear sightlines helped visitors discover nearby attractions
- Color zoning made the park easy to understand
- Queue and access areas supported busy operating periods
When visitors completed one ride, another suitable attraction was usually visible nearby. This encouraged movement through the park and reduced dependence on a single landmark ride.

What Buyers Can Learn from This Case
An amusement park should be planned as a complete operating environment, not as a collection of products.
Equipment footprint is only one part of the space requirement. Buyers also need to consider movement envelopes, queue capacity, entrances, exits, operator positions, electrical access and maintenance routes.
Visual customization should also begin before manufacturing. Confirming colors, themes, decorations and LED effects through drawings and 3D renderings reduces misunderstandings and gives the client a clearer view of the final result.
For a multi-ride development, buyers should confirm:
- Which age groups the park will serve
- How the attraction mix supports longer visits
- Whether the layout leaves enough operational space
- How visitors will move between zones
- Where queues will form during peak periods
- Which visual details require customization
- Who will coordinate production and installation
- What technical and after-sales support the supplier provides
These decisions affect not only opening day, but also staffing, maintenance efficiency and long-term visitor satisfaction.
